Atlast! i upgraded my WP blog to 2.9.1. it went smooth.
and cleaned my comments! (Spam). There are great spammers in Web who make great comments!! 
i activated my Akismet plugin and it caught more than 9000 spam comments.
my Blog is clean now!!
